Based in the studio and
on location around Aldeburgh, Tony Pick guides you through
a workshop aimed to help the digital SLR user take their camera
skills and workflow techniques to the next level.
Incorporating both Adobe Lightroom
and Adobe Photoshop software with each session,
we will guide you through the switch from jpeg to RAW shooting.
These intensive workshops are run over half a day starting
on location followed by a tutorial back at the studio. A high
resolution projector will be used to demonstrate how to make
the most of your images and each delegate will receive a full
set of time-saving Photoshop actions as used on the course.
Timetable:
• Meet on location
– Selecting the correct camera settings. Tony will then
guide you through lighting techniques for portraiture or landscape
and seascapes.
• Studio –
Introduction to the principles of RAW digital capture. Downloading,
backing up, selecting, cropping, rotating, renaming and archiving
the files in Adobe Lightroom.
• Studio –
Adjusting the files using a selection of the vast array of
tools available to us in Lightroom. Preparing the files for
presentation via a projector, preview prints or contact sheets.
• Studio –
Basic Photoshop skills training using selections, layers,
curves and actions.
• Studio –
An overview of techniques to make your images ‘sing’
and some very helpful problem solving tips.
